In 1996, Bruce graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Biological Engineering. He holds a NHDES designer’s license for subsurface systems and a surveyor-in-training certificate in NH. Bruce is a Professional Engineer in NH and Maine. He has civil and site experience in project management, septic design, boundary research, site plans, foundation certification, drainage studies, subdivisions, and planning boards. Bruce excels at layouts of sites, complementing environmentally positive site designs with clients to help navigate the regulatory approval process. He has been with the firm since 1997 and can help you get the most out of your project. He became the sole owner in 2021.

Fred Emanuel, P.E. — Principal Structural Engineer

Fred received his Masters of Science Degree in Structural Engineering in 1974 from Northeastern University and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 1967. Fred has over 55 years of diverse experience in design, engineering, and construction of commercial and industrial buildings / structures, office parks, power plants, residential – single and multi-family homes, drainage, roads, bridges, site planning, and structural evaluations and assessments. He worked for Stone and Webster Engineering Inc. for 20 years as a civil and structural project engineer before opening his own company, Emanuel Engineering Inc., in 1988.
Memberships – Structural Engineers of NH, American Wood Council, American Institute of Steel Construction, International Code Council, Rotary International, and Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce.
Boards – NH Joint Board for Licensing for Manufactured Housing Installations, UNH College of Engineering & Physical Sciences Alumni Society, Seacoast School of Technology Advisory.

Emilee Woodman, – Sr. Structural Engineer

Emilee has over 12 years of structural engineering and project management experience. She holds a B.S. (’13) in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. (’18) in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver.
Emilee has provided structural design and analysis for a variety of institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential projects. She has extensive experience in the design of cold-formed steel, concrete, wood, and steel structures, collaborating with contractors, architects, and project owners. She thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and enjoys the challenge of balancing several projects in various phases from preliminary design through construction administration. She started work for Emanuel Engineering in 2024.
In her free time, Emilee enjoys traveling and many outdoor adventures with her husband, kids, and their dog.
Devon Christen, P.E. – Structural Engineer
Devon received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 2014. In the past decade, Devon has worked on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Devon is most experienced with timber and structural steel framed structures. At Emanuel Engineering, Devon does a number of engineering tasks such as drafting drawings, performing structural calculations, and reviewing shop drawings. Devon is licensed in the states of New Hampshire and Maine. As a professional engineer, Devon oversees projects, reviews and stamps drawings, and conducts site visits.

Max Becker, EIT, — Structural Engineer

Max received his bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, as well as earned his Engineer in Training certification (EIT) in 2013. In the six years since his graduation, Max has experience in concrete, wood, light gauge metal, masonry and steel design and construction, as well as collaborating with architects, contractors and project owners. At Emanuel Engineering, Max prepares structural drawings, performs structural calculations, reviews shop drawings, performs site visits, and prepares reports for clients.

George C. Sklavounos, EIT – Structural Engineer

George received his Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2006 and Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2008 from University of Massachusetts Lowell. He also holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. George has experience in structural analysis, design and engineering of residential, commercial and industrial buildings/structures using reinforced and precast/prestressed concrete, steel, masonry and wood, as well as bridges and working with architects, contractors and project owners. He also has experience in field surveying, planning and construction layouts. He is certified Grade I ACI Concrete Field Technician and Level II PCI Quality Control Technician/Inspector.

Jonathan (JJ) MacBride, P.E. — Sr. Civil Engineer

JJ received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2012 and Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 2013 from the University of New Hampshire. In 2017, JJ became a Professional Engineer in NH. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has experience with septic design, site development plans, drainage studies, road design, and subdivision design. JJ is also responsible for preparing civil drawings and obtaining project approvals through permitting and engineering.

Nick graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2020. Nick is currently an Engineer in Training (EIT) and is working towards becoming a Professional Engineer. He provides design assistance for septic systems, site plans, subdivisions, drainage studies, and local and state permitting. He also has experience in structural analysis and surveying field work.
